Privacy Policy

How we handle personal data, in line with the EU GDPR.

Last updated: July 22, 2026

1. Data controller

Vewport, operated by an independent software developer based in Spain, is the controller for personal data processed to run the Service. Contact: support@vewport.app.

2. What we collect

Account data (your email and a hashed password). Content you create (recorded walkthroughs and demo configuration — note these may contain data captured from your own product; see §6). Usage analytics (anonymous, using a random identifier stored in your browser’s localStorage, not cookies). Billing data is handled by Paddle — we never receive or store your full card details.

3. How & why we use it

To provide and secure the Service, process your subscription, provide support, and improve the product. Legal bases (GDPR Art. 6): performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interests in running and securing the Service, and consent where required.

4. Cookies

We use a single essential session cookie to keep you signed in — it is required for the app to function and needs no consent. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. Our first-party analytics uses localStorage (not cookies). Our cookie banner lets you record a choice for any future non-essential cookies.

5. Who we share data with

Paddle (payments & Merchant of Record), Cloudflare (bot & abuse protection on our support forms, via Turnstile — a privacy-first CAPTCHA that is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking), our hosting provider, and email delivery — each acting as processor or independent controller as applicable. We do not sell your data.

6. Data in your recordings

When you capture a walkthrough of your own product, you decide what is recorded and are the controller for any end-user personal data it contains; for that data we act as your processor. You must have a lawful basis and inform the individuals concerned. Inputs are masked on capture, but redaction is currently a visual overlay — avoid capturing sensitive data.

7. Retention

We keep account and content data while your account is active and delete it within a reasonable period after account closure, unless we must retain some records for legal or accounting reasons.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR you can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and object to processing. Email support@vewport.app. You may also complain to the Spanish data-protection authority (AEPD) or your local supervisory authority.

9. International transfers

Where data is processed outside the EEA (e.g. by a processor), we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

10. Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be notified in-app or by email.
